Upton Park embodied the English stadium flair like no other stadium: a narrow stadium, no two stands are the same, directly between the rows of houses and the pride and centre of the entire district.
For years, Upton Park was the home of the national heroes of the 1966 World Cup: Bobby Moore – captain of the world champions and Geoff Hurst – three-time final goalscorer, played side by side for the Hammers at Upton Park.
